Cancer Toolbox: Get the Support You Need

I have witnessed too many babies, children, young adults and people of all ages getting diagnosed with cancer since my own diagnosis on April 9th, 2015. Each time I get wind of a newly diagnosed person, it makes me think of that car you’ve never seen on the road until your friend buys one and now you see it everywhere and wonder how you never saw it before. I’m saddened and baffled by the number of people I’m seeing who have been dealt these cards.

In an effort to decrease stress and internet time of those diagnosed with cancer, I have started a page full of cancer resources. When I was first diagnosed I had to be peeled away from my computer. I wanted to know everything I possibly could that pertained to cancer.

My intention is not to overwhelm you but to provide information all in one place to prevent you from googling yourself dizzy. Scan the list. Take what you like and leave the rest. This list is by no means all-encompassing. I will strive to update it regularly. If there’s information you’ve found useful please provide it in the comments. Likewise, if there’s something you’d like to know that is not listed here leave a comment and I’ll do my best to hunt it down. If it’s important to you, it’s important to me, and will likely benefit many others.

Rest assured that there’s a tremendous amount of support out there for people who are facing  cancer. If you are struggling with anything from depression to finances or insurance to hair loss, there’s help out there for you. Don’t despair!

I can’t say I personally endorse all of the links I’ve provided, but who am I to decide what’s right for someone else?!
